This is a part-time remote role for screening given candidates in Mainframe development, need Mainframe technical knowledge with over 10+ years of expertise. This skill will focus on software Development and Programming, particularly in mainframe technologies
Role Description: Seeking a Senior/Lead Mainframe Developer for our Collection Squad Opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex mainframe applications that support our business operations. The role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. You will be instrumental in driving the performance improvements and ensuring that application availability meets business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
- Analyze and enhance existing applications for performance and efficiency.
- Analytical Skills to identify, assess, and resolve complex system issues
- Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with Sales or client interaction is an advantage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Proven track record of delivering results in mainframe development projects for at least 10+ years
Key skills and tools:
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Strong experience with mainframe environments and tools.
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with debugging and testing tools specific to mainframe development.
- Associate needs to develop, unit test, lead a small POD. Able to review code, unit test and coordinate and communicate with client
