A high-stakes technology services organization operating in Financial Services and Enterprise IT Modernization. The team maintains and modernizes mission-critical mainframe applications that process high-volume transactions for banks, insurance carriers, and government clients. We seek an on-site Mainframe Developer to join a delivery-focused engineering team supporting 24x7 production environments.
Primary Title: Mainframe Developer
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain COBOL and JCL batch and online programs to meet functional requirements and SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents—perform RCA, implement fixes, and coordinate rollbacks or fixes with operations teams.
- Create and maintain CICS transaction programs and perform integration with DB2, IMS, and messaging layers.
- Author and update job streams, scheduling definitions, and change packages; validate deployments in Z/OS test and production environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and release managers to deliver tested code through Endevor/Changeman-based CI pipelines.
- Document designs, code changes, runbooks, and contribute to knowledge transfer for on-call and on-site support rotations.
