We need backend mainframe developer.
Job description:
The "Legacy" Stack:
- Mainframe Core: Deep experience with z/OS, COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
- Database: Proficiency in DB2 and understanding of flat files/VSAM.
- Tools: Experience with ChangeMan, Endevor, or similar mainframe version control.
The "Modern" Stack:
- Languages: Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot).
- Architecture: Mastery of Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP migration tools.
- Middleware: Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ for event-driven migration.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3+ years specifically focused on mainframe-to-distributed systems migration projects.
- Proven track record of delivering at least one full-scale core system modernization or migration.
