Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in COBOL-based application development to join our team. The role involves working on both batch and online applications in a high-performance enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug mainframe programs using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Develop and maintain batch and online programs for assigned applications
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support debugging activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions
- Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Exposure to batch & online application development
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in banking or financial services domain
- Prior exposure to production support or incident management is an added advantage
