Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Mainframe Database professional with strong experience in DB2/IMS, RACF security, database utilities, recovery processes, and 24x7 database operations. The candidate should be capable of working independently on complex technical issues, supporting security changes, incident response, and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Mandatory Skills
In-depth working knowledge of DB2 and/or IMS Utilities, including IBM and BMC tools
Strong experience with BMC Change Manager, Catalog Manager, Recovery Manager, MainView and SQL Performance
Solid understanding of Mainframe Database Recovery
Good knowledge of RACF-managed security for DB2 and/or IMS access
Working knowledge of ISPW
Working knowledge of ITSM processes and BMC Remedy
Experience with database design for 24x7 availability
Knowledge of DB2/IMS, JCL, TSO and mainframe problem analysis
Exposure to Sysplex and DB2 Data Sharing is an advantage
