🔹 Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Admin to provide L2/L3 production support and deliver enhancements for mission-critical applications running on IBM z/VSE in a 24x7 environment.
The role involves handling critical incidents, ensuring system stability, and supporting business operations across manufacturing, logistics, and order processing systems.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end production support (incident, problem, and change management)
- Lead P1/P2 incident bridges, provide timely updates, and drive resolution
- Perform RCA and implement preventive fixes
- Manage batch and online system stability (cutoffs, reconciliations, reprocessing)
- Support connectivity/interfaces (TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, integrations)
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (infra, network, security, vendors)
- Manage releases, deployments, and post-deployment validations
🔹 Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in IBM z/VSE (L2/L3 support)
- Experience in VSE JCL, VSE/POWER, batch operations & abend analysis
- Knowledge of CICS on z/VSE (online support)
- Understanding of VSAM datasets (KSDS/ESDS/RRDS)
- Experience with TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, file-based integrations
- Strong communication skills (client-facing role)
- Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
🔹 Good to Have
- Experience in COBOL (debugging & enhancements)
- Exposure to VSEn / VSE Navigator
- Strong documentation and RCA writing skills
