Career - Contractual Appointment of Chief Law Officer (CLO)

The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO) is a State Transmission Utility and wholly owned subsidiary of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), Government of Maharashtra. The Company is responsible for Transmission of Electricity in the State of Maharashtra. MAHATRANSCO invites applications from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Chief Law Officer (CLO) on Contractual Basis. The details of the position and the qualification/experience required are as under: Post: Chief Law Officer (CLO) on Contractual Basis No. of Post: 01 (One) Essential Qualification: 1) Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University. 2) Minimum 15 years post qualification experience in relevant field of Law. 3) Well versed with the functioning of Regulatory Authorities and handling of litigations. 4) Experience in drafting, vetting and scrutinizing legal documents, contracts, MoUs, etc. 5) Knowledge of Transmission Utilities and Regulatory Framework. 6) Excellent command over communication skills and presentation skills. 7) Knowledge of Marathi Language is desirable. Compensation: The Chief Law Officer (CLO) will be appointed on Contractual Basis initially for a period of 2 years. The consolidated remuneration will be Rs. 1.50 lakhs per month. The tenure may be extended based on the requirement and performance. Appointment will be made based on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
