About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Perioperative Charge Nurse to lead daily surgical operations with a patient- and family-centered approach. In this role, you’ll guide perioperative staff, support safe and efficient OR workflows, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Your leadership will help maintain excellence in surgical care, resource utilization, and team collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Perioperative Leadership & Clinical Oversight
• Monitor and adjust staffing assignments and OR room utilization to support safe, efficient operations • Facilitate and coordinate daily activities within the perioperative department • Serve as a clinical resource using current evidence, policies, and regulatory standards • Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to the surgical team
Patient Care & Surgical Support
• Deliver direct patient care as needed based on surgical schedule and staffing • Demonstrate excellence as a circulator and adapt to rapidly changing clinical environments • Participate in multidisciplinary planning to ensure comprehensive perioperative care
Team Development & Performance Improvement
• Assist staff in evaluating and improving current practices through quality initiatives • Collaborate with the Director to address personnel concerns and promote a healthy work environment • Support conflict resolution and foster positive working relationships across diverse personalities
Cross-Department Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between perioperative nursing and other hospital departments • Ensure communication flows effectively to support patient care and operational needs
