🎓 Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Certification or hands-on experience in Magma Metrology Software, CMM Programming, or 3D Inspection will be an added advantage.
Candidates with extensive experience in dimensional inspection and railway casting components will also be considered.
Job Profile
The selected candidate will be responsible for dimensional inspection, metrology analysis, CAD comparison, and quality validation of railway castings and heavy engineering components using Magma Metrology Software, CMMs, and advanced measuring equipment.
The role requires strong technical expertise in inspection planning, GD&T interpretation, 3D scanning, reverse engineering, quality analysis, customer documentation, and continuous process improvement while working closely with Production, Quality, Design, Foundry, Machining, and Customer teams.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Perform dimensional inspection using Magma Metrology Software.
✔️ Conduct CMM programming and inspection for precision components.
✔️ Perform CAD-to-part comparison and generate dimensional deviation reports.
✔️ Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed measurement reports.
✔️ Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
✔️ Carry out First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection.
✔️ Support new product development through dimensional validation.
✔️ Coordinate with Production and Design teams to resolve dimensional issues.
✔️ Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
✔️ Ensure compliance with customer specifications, RDSO requirements, and ISO quality standards.
✔️ Prepare PPAP, FAI, and inspection documentation.
✔️ Support customer audits, quality reviews, and product approvals.
✔️ Drive continuous improvement in inspection methods and metrology processes.

Preferred Candidate Profile
2–8 years of experience in Metrology, CMM Inspection, or Dimensional Quality.
Hands-on experience with Magma Metrology Software.
Knowledge of railway castings, heavy engineering components, and machining inspection.
Experience with FARO Arm, 3D scanning, laser trackers, or portable CMM systems.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerancing.
Experience in PPAP, FAI, MSA, SPC, and customer quality documentation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage inspection activities independently.
