The Story: Why We Need YouThe shift to Agentic Commerce is happening faster than anyone predicted. By 2026, we are moving from a world where humans search and click, to a world where AI agents research, negotiate, and execute checkouts autonomously.
After spending over 18 years building Go-to-Market and growth strategies for early-stage startups, I saw exactly where this market was heading. I mapped out the architecture and "vibe coded" the 0-to-1 build of Goofre—an open-source Agentic Commerce Orchestrator. Goofre is designed to be the friction-free layer that automates compliance and data flow, making traditional merchants 100% UCP-ready (Universal Commerce Protocol) for AI shopping agents.
But GTM strategy and vibe coding can only take an integration so far. To make Goofre bulletproof for enterprise-grade Magento storefronts, I need an expert who lives and breathes the code.
I am not looking to hire a traditional 9-to-5 employee. I am looking for a technical collaborator to partner with me to build the connective tissue between modern AI agents and Magento storefronts.
The RoleAs our lead Magento Collaborator, you will take ownership of the Magento-to-Goofre integration. You will bridge the gap between our orchestrator and legacy Magento architectures, ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless data flow for AI-driven transactions.
What You Will Do- Build the Connector: Architect and develop the initial, production-ready Goofre integration for Magento.
- Review & Refine: Audit our current UCP architecture and provide expert guidance on how best to interface with Magento's native APIs and data structures.
- Establish Standards: Help set the technical standards for how open-source agentic commerce tools interact with complex e-commerce platforms.
What You Bring- Deep, proven expertise in Magento (Adobe Commerce) development, specifically in building custom modules, APIs, and complex integrations.
- A strong understanding of e-commerce data flows (catalog, inventory, checkout, order management).
- An entrepreneurial mindset—you are excited by the 0-to-1 phase and the shift toward AI and Agentic Commerce.
- The ability to take high-level architectural concepts and translate them into robust, scalable code.
