Position Summary:

The Rapid Response Nurse is a highly trained critical care professional who responds to medical emergencies within the hospital, providing immediate support to patients whose condition is deteriorating unexpectedly.  The Rapid Response Nurse will quickly assess the patient and determine the necessary interventions needed.


Qualifications:

Education:

            Completion of an Accredited School of Registered Nursing

            Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

 

      Experience:

            Requires 5-7 years of nursing experience in a combined specialty area, ICU and ER

            Requires CCRN, CEN, or TNCC Certification (within one year of employment)

            Prefer prior Crisis Nurse experience (1-2 years)

 

      Training:

            Strong healthcare management and leadership skills.

            Clinical knowledge and skills appropriate to ICU and/or ER level of care

            Experience in responding to constant changes in tasks; use of critical thinking skills

            Ability to work quickly and safely in a dynamic environment

 


License/Registration/Certification:

            Current State of California Registered Nurse Licensure

            Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP Certification

            Current CCRN, CEN or TNCC Certification

Madera Community Hospital is a not-for-profit community health resource and is not associated with any other hospital or health system. The hospital is locally governed by a board of trustees which provides governance and oversight. The board is composed of over a dozen community and business leaders. Madera Community Hospital was founded in 1971 and is located at 1250 E. Almond Avenue in Madera, California. The hospital contained 106 acute care beds, a 16-bed Emergency Department, and a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit. Madera Community Hospital also operates two rural health care clinics (Mendota and Chowchilla) and a home health agency (Family Health Services in Madera).
