MAATRIVA is an early-stage embedded Artificial Intelligence and infant monitoring initiative focused on building intelligent neonatal and infant safety systems using Computer Vision, Audio Analysis, Edge AI, and Sensor Fusion technologies.
Our current work involves the development of intelligent monitoring systems capable of assisting in:

Role Description
This is a remote internship role for a Machine Learning & AI Intern at MAATRIVA.
The intern will work closely with the core team on research, experimentation, and development related to Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Audio Analysis, and Edge AI systems.
Responsibilities may include:
• Developing and experimenting with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models
• Working on Computer Vision tasks such as posture and facial-state analysis
• Assisting in infant cry/audio signal processing and analysis
• Training, fine-tuning, and optimizing lightweight AI models
• Exploring TensorFlow Lite and edge-device inference workflows
• Working with datasets, preprocessing pipelines, and inference systems
• Collaborating with the team on prototyping and technical experimentation

Qualifications
• Strong interest in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Vision
• Familiarity with Python and basic AI/ML workflows
• Understanding of Deep Learning fundamentals and data preprocessing concepts
• Exposure to frameworks/tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or similar technologies is a plus
• Interest in research-oriented experimentation and problem-solving
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative remote environment
• Strong curiosity, learning mindset, and willingness to explore new technologies
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics, or related fields
