Forklift Operator I

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Safely operate powered industrial trucks and forklifts.
• Fulfill production parts orders.
• Move material to proper bins, shelves, or holding areas.
• Compare items and counts to packing slips, orders, or inventory logs.
• Accurately count items.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain inventory locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of trailer production parts is a plus.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently; self directed and motivated.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and climb repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
