Role Description This is a full-time, on-site M.Pharm role based at Dr Agarwal Hospitals in Bengaluru. The professional in this position will be responsible for dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include reviewing medication orders, monitoring drug interactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting medication safety initiatives. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize pharmacotherapy and provide medication counseling to patients and caregivers. The M.Pharm professional will also assist in inventory management, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to quality improvement and hospital pharmacy policies.
Qualifications
- Completed M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution and eligibility for appropriate professional registration/licensing.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions, and hospital pharmacy practices.
- Ability to review prescriptions critically, ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain detailed medication records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and counseling patients.
- Attention to detail, adherence to regulatory and safety standards, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, electronic medical records, and basic computer literacy.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is an advantage.
