About the role

As a Pallet Builder, you will be crucial in efficiently operating our shipping process. Your primary responsibility will be to construct pallets according to order specifications, ensuring the safe and secure transportation of goods. This entails carefully following detailed instructions to maintain a safe working environment and utilizing power tools such as a nail gun, sawzall, and rotary saw with precision and skill.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct pallets to support orders being shipped by the selecting group, ensuring items are securely stacked and stabilized.
  • Follow all instructions and protocols to maintain a proper and safe working environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep building and staging areas neat and orderly to facilitate efficient workflow and minimize hazards.
  • Utilize power tools such as nail guns, sawzalls, and rotary saws for pallet assembly tasks, following safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Cut down pallets deemed unfit for use to ensure the quality and integrity of pallet inventory.
  • Assist in loading scrap trailers and notify supervisors when trailers reach 80% capacity for proper disposal.

    Job Standards:

    • Capable of standing for a ten-hour shift and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds to perform job duties effectively.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Possess basic math and reading abilities to interpret work orders and ensure accurate pallet construction.
    • Maintain basic verbal communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members effectively.
    • Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination for precise handling and assembly of pallet components.

      Equipment:

      • Personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, safety shoes)
      • Power tools (sawzall, rotary saw, nail gun, hammer)

      1st Shift Hours: Monday- Friday 6:30 am- 3:00 pm
