About the role
Lyric's frontend is the working surface of an AI-native decision platform—not a collection of standard SaaS pages. We build complex tools for enterprise supply-chain teams: workflow builders, data grids, canvases, maps, visualizations and configurable applications operating over large, evolving datasets.
We're hiring across SDE II, SDE III/Senior and Staff levels, with 3–12 years of experience. Level will be calibrated to the technical depth, ownership and influence you demonstrate—not just tenure or current title. This is a full-time role based in India.
What you'll do
- Own meaningful product surfaces from problem definition and architecture through implementation, launch and iteration.
- Build complex, data-heavy workflows using React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Design reusable component systems, frontend architecture and clean boundaries across state, APIs and product domains.
- Solve demanding problems around rendering, data fetching, permissions, partial data, error states and long-running user workflows.
- Improve performance, reliability, testing and developer experience across the frontend stack.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering and domain experts to turn complex decision workflows into intuitive experiences.
- At senior levels, lead architecture and mentor engineers; at Staff, shape direction across teams while remaining hands-on.
What we're looking for
- 3–12 years building production frontend systems.
- Strong JavaScript, React and browser fundamentals, with working depth in TypeScript.
- Evidence of owning complex product surfaces end to end—not merely implementing component tickets.
- Strong understanding of state management, rendering, asynchronous workflows, APIs and data flows, testing and performance.
- Ability to explain decisions, alternatives, trade-offs, failures and measurable outcomes.
- Product judgment, clear communication and comfort operating with evolving requirements.
Level anchors
- SDE II: independently ships well-scoped, complex features with strong fundamentals and good judgment.
- SDE III / Senior: owns major surfaces end to end and makes sound architecture, performance and quality trade-offs.
- Staff: sets direction across surfaces or teams, creates leverage through architecture and standards, and mentors while staying close to code.
