Responsible for the proper usage of general maintenance tools and equipment
• Responsible for having a working knowledge of maintenance language, verbal and written, shop arithmetic, elementary trigonometry, and physics.
• Must be able to interpret and understand prints and schematics of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Certification or become electrically qualified as defined by OSHA 1910.331-1910.335.
• Ability to determine voltage of exposed energized parts.
• The ability to determine working clearance distances to specified voltages.
• Responsible for installing and repairing any wiring on electrical equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the following: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, and Mechanical.
• Assist in the upkeep of spare parts supply and storage system.3) Repair and install various plant equipment, determining failures and develop root cause.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse set of cross functional groups.

• Ability to read and interpret common P&ID’s, equipment drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Document records of all activities through a computerized maintenance management system.
• Responsible for properly using multi-meters, temperature and voltage calibrators, grinders, sanders, pipe cutters, threaders, hand and power tools.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate measuring equipment such as, micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges and other measuring tools.
• Problem solving and corrective action in support of continuous performance improvement
Perform necessary preventative, predictive maintenance and scheduled repairs as necessary.
• Proper usage of general maintenance tools.
• Effective setup and usage of gas, T.I.G. and arc welders.
• Effectively construct, assemble and install guards and repair equipment.
• Knowledge of metals and various electrode properties and their combination results.
• Read and interpret PLC ladder Logic. Provide minimal database changes.
