• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical or Nuclear Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant, proven experience in maintaining and improving IEA asset performance in the refining, petrochemical, chemical process, power generation or nuclear industries.
• Strong interpersonal leadership skills are critical due to the requirement for effective communication of complex issues across the organization as well as for mentoring and consensus building.
• Exhibit an understanding of business drivers, management of change requirements, reliability processes and maintenance workflow.
• Proven, basic proficiency in the following areas:
o Industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC, NETA)
o Instrumentation and measurement technology
o PLC programming and maintenance
o Analyzers and sample systems
o Low and medium voltage power distribution and control systems
o Instrumentation diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair
o Component failure analysis
o Reliability engineering concepts
o Reliability data analysis techniques
o Project management process (PMP)
o Application of computer software (SAP, AMS, CONVAL, ExSILentia, Power BI)
• Strong commitment to safety, a high level of personal integrity and dedication to conducting business in an ethical way.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with IEC 61511.
• Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) or TUV Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) certification.
• Independent protection layer (IPL) validation experience.
