The safe transportation and security of prisoners to and from court and various commonwealth, state, federal, and county correctional facilities.
Security of courthouse and other county properties.
Security of all persons within county owned buildings.
Service of criminal warrants, protection from abuse orders, and civil writs.
Assistance to other county agencies when law enforcement duties are required.
Clerical duties as they relate to specific functions and duties of the Sheriff's office.
Enforcing criminal and vehicle statutes.
Serve as training officer for new employees.
Directs the work of subordinate employees and ensures adherence with the policies and procedures of the county and of the department.
Measures the performance of subordinates and provides higher ranking members of the department with information in regard to said performance.
Performs any other duty required by the Sheriff higher ranking member of the department.
