About the role

Join our dynamic maintenance team and play a crucial role in keeping our production equipment and systems—ranging from electrical and water systems to plumbing and HVAC—running smoothly. You'll share responsibility for on-call coverage during nights and weekends, ensuring our operations stay uninterrupted. Additionally, you'll take on various other tasks aligned with business needs, including occasional snow removal, showcasing your versatility and commitment.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will focus on the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of crystal growth furnaces, production machinery, and related support equipment to maintain a safe and efficient plant environment. Empowered to work independently, you'll tackle a diverse array of complex assignments, such as installing automated equipment and leading process and product improvement initiatives, all under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely perform machine repair, electrical, HVAC, and machine operation using OSHA and company standards.
  • Ability to safely work with Voltages up to 640 DC and 480 AC as well as low voltage control circuits
  • Ability to work on and maintain Fire Alarm and Building access systems.
  • Ability to work on Ethernet Network systems to include installation and testing.
  • Ability to work with various control systems in order to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate process equipment
  • Ability to work with motor controls and VFDs
  • Ability to install EMT, IMC and RMC
  • Complete electrical load calculations for new installation and upgrades of equipment.
  • Install electrical equipment per NEC requirements. Use of DMM for voltage and resistance testing.
  • Troubleshoots equipment or processes to determine root cause of problem to institute a corrective action
  • Identify high maintenance problems and implement corrective procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use of IR cameras for diagnosing and preventing electrical equipment failures.
  • Ability to use a full face-negative pressure respirator or PAPR device required.
