About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer at Lumos, you will lead the design and implementation of our next-generation Workflows & Notifications Platform, building critical infrastructure that enables real-time messaging and task orchestration. In Short - Lead the development of event-driven notifications and workflow orchestration systems. - Own the core architecture for multi-channel messaging. - Design developer-friendly APIs and contracts. - Implement infrastructure for observability and auditing. - Collaborate with teams for seamless integration with identity workflows. - Build internal tooling and reusable abstractions. - Drive improvements in workflow lifecycle management. Requirements - 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering. - Deep knowledge of asynchronous architectures and message queues. - Strong skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript. - Experience building event-driven systems and notifications infrastructure. - Strong backend development skills focused on clean API design. - Hands-on experience with multi-channel messaging systems. - Familiarity with compliance and governance use cases. - Track record of designing developer platforms or infrastructure.
