About the role
We are currently seeking a Development Tools Engineer Intern for our ADAS/Autonomous Driving Platform software team. This position involves full-stack system development, automation, and internal tool development to facilitate the development, integration, and validation of an integrated Autonomous driving system. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection.
Some of the tools, you would be developing include:
A full stack cloud and embedded solution, to update ECUs in Automation test racks, in Vehicle and Factory. A Graphical interface tool to multi-flash ECUs in the factory. Asynchronous data logger to record vehicle sensor data. A Wireshark messaging protocol analyzer. Log analyzer.
Qualifications:
· Experience as a full-stack developer, demonstrating an understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
· SW design and development experience in C, C++, Python, or Rust
· Experience with building tools
· Experience with the automation of tasks using a variety of scripts, tools, and services
· Experience using Docker or other container technologies system builds or testing
· Experience with Unit Test frameworks and/or automated test frameworks
· Ability to thrive under pressure, ambiguity, and time constraints
Education:
Field(s)of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or other related fields
Will consider undergrads Junior level or above Pursuing Bachelor’s or master's degree
Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Program Information:
Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.
Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $48 to $66 (Subject to changes).
