Under the direction of the Sanitary Engineer, Assistant. Sanitary Engineer, Utilities Maintenance Superintendent or designee, responsible for cutting grass, painting hydrants/buildings/equipment, and general clean up.
Responsibilities
Grass cutting (& trimming) and lawn maintenance (numerous sites around the county for SE Maintenance).
Painting fire hydrants at numerous sites around the county.
General clean up including sweeping garage floors, washing vehicles (inside and out), and other related lawn maintenance and landscaping and clean up around the facility.
Work without constant supervision and document activities and planned leave on the appropriate forms.
Track time & keep updated records of work activity and provide documentation of activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with driving privileges in the State of Ohio, with insurable driving record.
Must be 18 years of age
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to tow and secure loads onto a landscape trailer.
Ability to safely handle gasoline & gasoline-type products and work safely in high-traffic areas.
Ability to operate power equipment including lawn mowers, two lever zero turn mowers, grass trimmers, and other power equipment.
Ability to lift items associated with landscaping and lawn maintenance.
