Requirements

What We Need From You

UKG experience required
Experience processing weekly payroll preferred
Must have experience with accrual-based accounting
Proven Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience
Experience with QuickBooks or related accounting software
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Positive, solutions-oriented attitude
Degree and/or certification in Accounting preferred
Construction industry experience is a plus
Bilingual is a plus

Summary

Responsibilities

Process weekly payroll for all four Florida locations accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Enter and maintain payroll-related data, records, and reporting
Responsible for Accounts Receivable functions, including collections, customer correspondence, troubleshooting, and account follow-up
Send final invoices, contractor affidavits, release documents, and project completion paperwork
Review weekly A/R reports and communicate updates with management and departments
Process customer payments, financing payments, third-party checks, and account reconciliations
Track and process claim of liens, deadlines, and related documentation
Process weekly Accounts Payable and maintain accurate vendor records
Monitor vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and research opportunities for discounts or cost savings
Maintain organized accounting records, filing systems, and supporting documentation
Research, track, and resolve accounting or payroll issues, escalating concerns to the Controller when necessary
Manage company-related accounts such as cell phones, SunPass, and employee reimbursements
Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting department as needed
Assist with incoming calls, mail distribution, and front office support when necessary
Complete additional duties and special projects assigned by management
