As a Manager in the Digital Category Optimization team, your responsibilities include developing and executing the analytics strategy for e-commerce, providing strategic insights to optimize product assortment and pricing, and conducting advanced data analysis. You will monitor performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and enhance customer experience through data-driven decisions. A key responsibility will be to optimize revenue drivers such as AOV, conversion, and digital penetration, aiming to meet or exceed the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Additionally, you will manage stakeholder relationships, lead market research, oversee project implementation, and mentor a team of data analysts to ensure alignment with business goals and drive online revenue growth. Your role will also involve enabling the team to perform data-backed analysis and provide recommendations to meet category and business priorities. Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: The BA team comprises business intelligence and digital consulting professionals with expertise in the domain of e-commerce/online retail focused on customer analytics and insights. The team uses the power of data analytics and industry research to ensure supreme customer experience on Lowes.com, which is one of the most crucial levers in driving online revenue growth. As a Manager in the Digital Category Optimization team, your responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership and Analytics Analytics Strategy: Develop and execute the overall analytics strategy for the e-commerce business, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish comprehensive reporting frameworks to track and measure e-commerce performance. Oversee the development and implementation of data strategies and architectures, defining data requirements, data flows, and data integration processes to support business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making. Business Insights and Strategy Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Provide high-level strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, and customer segmentation. Lead the development of e-commerce growth strategies and expansion plans. Advanced Data Analysis and Interpretation Data Analysis and Interpretation: Oversee and conduct in-depth data analysis using advanced statistical techniques and data visualization tools to derive insights and identify trends. Ensure clear and actionable communication of findings to stakeholders. Performance Monitoring and Optimization Performance Tracking: Manage, track, and achieve AOP, conversion, revenue, and digital penetration metrics by actively partnering with Category Directors and Senior Directors. Monitor AOP attainment daily, identify gaps, and proactively address potential misses. Track and report gaps in pacing, AOV, and conversion; conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) on weekly performance. Growth Opportunity Identification Growth Opportunities: Lead and conduct in-depth data analysis using various tools and techniques to identify growth opportunities. Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. Proactively identify and own growth opportunities within the category, ensuring 100% ownership of all action items. Customer Data Analysis Customer Insights: Analyze customer data, including onsite behavior, product preferences, and qualitative feedback, to understand the online and e-commerce business at a category level. Use advanced analytics methods to draw insights and translate them into actionable business recommendations. Category Experience Improvement Customer Experience Enhancement: Analyze and leverage customer information and competition benchmarking to identify areas for improving the customer research and shopping experience. Conduct reporting for various projects and perform site audits for search, browse, and left navigation experiences to ensure optimal functionality. Category Funnel Optimization Funnel Optimization: Optimize the customer funnel at the category level to ensure seamless navigation and increased conversions. Identify significant opportunities to enhance the customer experience across different categories and manage the process to optimize taxonomy, purchase path, data content, SEO, and post-transaction results. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration Stakeholder Management: Drive stakeholder, vendor, and merchant relationships to own and enable category growth. Develop and present communications to partner teams and leadership, conveying the right message effectively to the appropriate audience. Work collaboratively as part of a large global team and partner across functions to support enterprise-level initiatives. Ensure transparent and clear communication with all stakeholders regarding timelines and outputs. Run QBRs to show progress against assigned goals. Market Study and Competitive Intelligence Market Research: Conduct market studies to understand best industry practices and enhance digital customer experiences. Project Ownership and Innovation Project Management: Take full ownership of projects, from initial analysis to final implementation, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in processes, driving efficiency. Mentoring and Leadership Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of data analysts, providing guidance, support, and training for their professional development. Manage their bandwidth to ensure attainment and exceeding of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Coach and mentor the team on scope, deep dives, and execution of assigned projects. Develop team technical expertise and talent in both data visualization and reporting. Strategic Thought Partnership Strategic Partnership: Be a strategic thought partner during DCRs, Reinvents, and Refreshes, ensuring a sharp focus on blockers to revenue attainment, translated into three core growth drivers.
