Role DescriptionThe Lounge Manager / Sim Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, Kerala, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lounge while ensuring all racing simulators remain race-ready. This role combines technical expertise with operational management, serving as the bridge between simulator maintenance and guest experience.
On a day-to-day basis, the Lounge Manager / Sim Technician calibrates and maintains all seven racing simulators, including direct-drive wheelbases, pedal sets, and full-motion platforms, ensuring consistent performance and safety. The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing simulator software updates, and conducting routine opening and closing equipment inspections.
Beyond technical responsibilities, the role manages daily bookings, walk-in customers, memberships, corporate sessions, and racing league activities, ensuring efficient rig allocation and a seamless customer experience. The Lounge Manager / Sim Technician also supervises front-of-house operations, coordinates café inventory and lounge supplies, maintains the premium presentation of the venue, supports community race nights and promotional events, and works closely with the Managing Partner to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications- Genuine passion for sim racing and active experience using racing wheel and pedal setups; familiarity with popular racing simulation titles is essential.
- Strong technical aptitude with PC hardware, simulator peripherals, software installation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with individual guests, members, and corporate groups.
- Strong organisational and operational abilities, including booking management, staff coordination, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently to minimise simulator downtime during operating hours.
- Comfortable performing light equipment maintenance, rig adjustments, and handling day-to-day operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a gaming lounge, esports venue, hospitality, technical support, or customer-facing operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Kochi, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on business requirements.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hospitality Management, Electronics, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred, but relevant practical experience and enthusiasm for sim racing are equally valued.
