PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The pastry cook works under the Executive Pastry Chef instructions in preparing the pastries/bread/desserts according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.

THE CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

EDUCATION:

Technical or Trade School Degree
Valid WA. Food Handlers Permit

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook, preferably in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, cake decoration, and dessert presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to accommodate changes and remain professional at all times
Willingness to help others and work well in a team-oriented environment
Innovative, creative and dynamic, with positive attitude toward work
Results oriented and work well under pressure
Excellent organization skills
Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote positive work environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule
