Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for Territory Collection Manager and Area Collection Head positions covering regions in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. The role involves overseeing and driving collections performance for designated territories, ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining strong customer relationships and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will monitor field collection teams, review portfolio quality, track key collection metrics, and implement action plans to manage delinquencies and minimize NPAs. Responsibilities include regular visits to branches and customer locations, resolving complex or high-risk accounts, coordinating with sales, credit, and operations teams, and escalating issues as needed. The role also includes mentoring and training collection staff, preparing periodic reports and MIS for management, and contributing to process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in collections management, preferably in housing finance, NBFCs, or banking, with exposure to rural, semi-urban, and urban markets.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage field collection teams across multiple locations, including performance tracking and capability building.
- Sound understanding of retail lending, collection strategies, delinquency management, and basic credit and risk concepts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-centric and ethical approach to recovery.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret collection MIS, and use insights to drive territory-level action plans and improve portfolio health.
- Comfort with field-intensive work, frequent travel within assigned territories, and engagement with diverse customer segments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant certifications in finance or credit/collections is an advantage.
