Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Senior Warehouse Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, managing tools and test equipment, and distributing materials and products. The candidate must be familiar with hand and power tools. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory replenishment.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Train new hires and mentor team members to promote skill development and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist management in implementing solutions.
- Communicate with internal teams including logistics, supply chain, and purchasing to resolve issues or expedite workflow.
- Support leadership with reporting and scheduling.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
This position requires working in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and working conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree a plus
- 6-8+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.
- Experience in a lead or senior-level warehouse role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as needed and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material handling equipment.
- Proficiency with computer-based inventory tools and general office software.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
- Must be able to pass a forklift certification exam. (training will be provided)
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to push and pull heavy pallets and crates using pallet jacks.
