General Purpose of the Job
The Manager of Special Projects organizes and manages ongoing projects within LISH. They create project plans, schedules, organize and participate in stakeholder meetings and ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops project initiation process by defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, creating project timetables, and tracking execution and workflows; prepares, presents, and distributes project status reports
- Plans, manages and coordinates project requirements to ensure timelines are met
- Evaluates, plans, and monitors project implementation for Clinical and Operations escalating issues as appropriate while adhering to standardized project management methodologies
- Communicates with key stakeholders on projects
- Communicates effectively and professionally
- Support Senior Leadership in effectively managing communications with the workforce, by defining and delivering key messages to relevant stakeholders regarding the decisions of Senior Leadership
- Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Contributes to the improvement of the organization’s approach by suggesting ideas and solutions to the Leadership team
- Serves as a liaison with executives, departments heads, and board members, to ensure that organizational goals are met.
- Drafts schedules for implementation of long-range plans and proposals.
- Maintains all Board of Directors and Finance Committee work
- Maintains all Company policies/SOPs

Education and/or Experience
A successful candidate must possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution. At least 5 years of Administrative Assistant experience or Project Management work
Necessary Skills & Abilities
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word), as well as Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record software – eClinicalWorks a plus).
