Junior Data Scientist

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join its Analytics Centre of Excellence team in Bangalore. Key Responsibilities Develop sophisticated data science and machine learning models using large datasets. Design, develop, and maintain Python-based software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate business requirements. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to propose short- and long-term solutions. Contribute to process improvements and problem resolution workflows. Ensure project transparency by providing regular updates to leadership. Work independently with minimal guidance while managing ambitious projects. Support cross-team collaboration for solution design and implementation. Conduct financial analysis and modeling of financial instruments. Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge-sharing initiatives. Contribute to technical solution design in a collaborative environment. Engage in requirement analysis to align business and technical solutions. Utilize quantitative finance knowledge in pricing and modeling. Collaborate on projects involving ESG data modeling. Maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to Agile practices. Required Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in Python for software development and integration Expertise in data science, machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics Strong requirement analysis and validation skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Understanding of financial markets and quantitative finance Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team Knowledge of financial mathematics and pricing models Preferred (Desirable) Skills Project management experience, particularly in Agile environments Familiarity with Refinitiv Eikon/Elektron/Workspace products Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data modeling
