Environmental Enforcement Officer

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is looking for an experienced Environmental Enforcement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, gathering evidence, and taking enforcement action against environmental offences such as fly-tipping, littering, and dog fouling. You will also be required to issue Fixed Penalty Notices and support prosecution cases where necessary. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental legislation and experience in a similar enforcement role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to engage with the public and partner agencies. This is a fixed-term contract position.
