Job Summary: The Project Coordinator-Space Management will serve as a member of the Space Management Team supporting hospital administration and management with projects which include: strategic initiatives, process improvement, financial and operational analysis, and other projects and analyses as assigned. Completes assigned tasks that supports projects assigned to the Space Management department. Many of these projects will require collaboration with the Hospital Leadership team (including physicians), Information Systems teams, system-wide administrators and clinical leaders, Finance (including Decision Support) and Shared Services. Updates key team members on project status. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum one year experience in hospital project management, completion of a management residency business internship, or hospital administrative operations required.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to read, write, and speak with professional quality. Able to read and understand floor plans and computer-generated documents. Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing goals and policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically, work independently, perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Certification in Project Management from Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM) preferred.
