<div>Cook / Prep — Breakfast & Oaxacan Fusion</div><div>Location: Newport Beach, CA</div><div>Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time</div><div>Compensation: Based on experience</div><div>About the Role</div><div>We’re hiring an experienced Cook/Prep team member who can execute a high-quality breakfast menu</div><div>with Oaxacan influence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, works</div><div>clean, and can confidently handle brunch-style egg dishes and traditional Oaxacan preparations.</div><div>Responsibilities</div><div>• Prepare and cook brunch-style egg dishes: omelets, scrambles, benedicts, chilaquiles, huevos</div><div>rancheros, breakfast tacos, etc.</div><div>• Execute Oaxacan-inspired dishes such as enchiladas, chilaquiles, salsas, braises, and</div><div>traditional components</div><div>• Complete daily prep: chopping, portioning, marinating, sauces</div><div>• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation</div><div>• Follow recipes and plating standards consistently</div><div>• Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, and inventory rotation</div><div>• Uphold all food safety and sanitation procedures</div><div>• Communicate clearly with the team to keep service smooth during peak hours</div><div>Required Qualifications</div><div>• Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen</div><div>• Strong skills with egg cookery (scrambles, omelettes, poached eggs, benedicts)</div><div>• Experience preparing Mexican or Oaxacan dishes</div><div>• Valid California Food Handler Card & Sexual Harassment Certificate</div><div>• Ability to work morning and/or mid-day shifts</div><div>• Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen prep systems</div><div>• Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and work clean</div><div>• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods</div><div>Preferred (Not Required)</div><div>• Experience in a fusion or Latin-inspired kitchen</div><div>• Bilingual (English/Spanish)</div><div>• Familiarity with Oaxacan ingredients (chiles, moles, quesillo, masa, etc.)</div>
