Role Description The Logistics Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Kochi campus. The role involves planning and delivering structured training sessions in logistics and supply chain management, using industry-relevant case studies, tools, and methodologies. The trainer will develop and update curriculum materials, create lesson plans, and design assessments that reflect current logistics practices and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include instructing and mentoring learners, monitoring performance, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners in building job-ready skills. The Logistics Trainer will also collaborate with academic coordinators and industry partners to ensure course content remains current, participate in workshops and faculty development activities, and contribute to placement preparation through interview coaching and skill-building sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, warehousing operations, and transportation management, with the ability to translate concepts into practical classroom examples.
- Experience in curriculum development, training delivery, and learner assessment, including designing lesson plans, training materials, and evaluation tools.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and learning technologies for training (e.g., presentation software, learning management systems, basic data analysis tools).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learner groups and explain complex topics clearly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple batches, schedules, and administrative tasks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in logistics or SCM are an advantage.
- Prior industry experience in logistics or supply chain, or prior experience as a trainer or faculty member in a professional institute, is highly desirable.
