Job Overview
- Nikkiso Cosmodyne is a dynamic and rapidly growing industrial company We are seeking an experienced person in EXIM & Commercial to join our EXIM team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in handling logistics requirements of organization, with a strong background in the manufacturing industry, preferably sound knowledge in operations, commercials & compliance.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Understanding the demand for Project cargo.
- To develop SOPs related to Logistics.
- Establish compliant documentation processes.
- Analyze & improve HSN identification & maintain Master Data base.
- Logistics Service provider – Contract Management & maintenance.
- Support & streamline IDPMS & EDPMS old cases.
- Support team with document compliance to handle Warranty replacements, export – reimport, import – reexport shipments.
- POC for Logistics department escalation.
Job Description
- Facilitating all relevant Export- Import shipping procedures, custom rules, regulation tariffs and Custom duties.
- Coordinate with Logistic buying team for RFQ for Inbound and outbound Logistics selection for over dimensional cargo like Break bulk, Flat Rack & Open top containers.
- Should work out budgetary quote for projects as and when required at plant level.
- Set KPIs and objective of the department.
- Establish SOP of Import / Export / Custom clearance / duty payment procedures / vendor management etc.
- Guide on to Handle and Maintain of all Logistics compliant documentation related to Customs and related to taxation GST/Excise. Interacts with Government authorities, Banks, Insurance, and Internal & External customers.
- Co-ordinate, Manage & track detail related to registering and Closing all Export Promotion Schemes and Duty Exemption documents at Customs.
- Worked out on Global Bid for upcoming project with providing global logistics solutions.
- With the edge of negotiation skill, benchmark & create best optimum logistics model for the business & project with industry’s leading LSPs.
- Implemented Freight Management Process improvements and network optimization.
- Co-ordination with internal customers and its various departments viz. Projects, Planning, Taxation, Procurement, Stores and Accounts.
- Smooth co-ordination and support Procurement team to optimize the transport cost.
- To obtain advance Licenses & manage documents to process for closure/EODC/ Bond release as well.
- To maintain records of SVB Bonds, Extensions, assessment etc.
- To initiate obtain RODTEP benefit & utilize.
- Handling, Documentation, co-ordination of Import/Export/Custom clearance in any mode of shipment.
- Work on process improvement.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and skills
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in any stream or relevant field.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in Logistics/EXIM, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of commercial, compliance & operations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct comparative analysis and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using software/ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics related to customs & freight forwarding industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in Logistics service procurement and project management.
