Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Management:
Negotiating rates with carriers, optimizing shipping routes through logical allocation, and coordinating with partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Cost Optimization:
Analyzing transportation costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing process improvements to reduce overall expenses.
Performance Monitoring:
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, such as delivery times, shipping costs, returns etc.
Vendor Management:
Developing new partners & maintaining relationships with existing logistics partners.
Problem Solving:
Addressing logistics issues, such as delays, damages, theft or incorrect shipments, and collaborating with relevant parties to resolve them.
Technology Implementation:
Utilizing and implementing technology to optimize logistics processes.
Collaboration:
Working with other departments, such as marketing, and customer service, to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.
Skills Required:
1. Experience of handling International logistics
2. Well versed with EXIM documentation, customs regulations, experience of handling shipping in CSB-V, CBE-13 etc. modes
3. Analytical thinking with attention to detail
4. Proficient in MS Excel
5. Good communication & presentation skills
6. Vendor management
