About the Role
We are looking for a smart, detail oriented, and commercially aware Logistics Procurement & Pricing Specialist to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate should understand freight pricing, vendor coordination, shipment costing, and market negotiation. This role is perfect for someone who can balance competitive pricing with strong operational execution.
The candidate will be responsible for managing logistics procurement activities, negotiating rates with transporters and shipping partners, preparing quotations for clients, and maintaining healthy relationships with vendors and agents.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Source and coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics vendors
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements for domestic and international shipments
• Develop strong vendor relationships for long term business partnerships
• Compare quotations and finalize cost effective logistics solutions
• Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and delivery timelines
Pricing & Quotation Handling
• Prepare accurate pricing sheets and client quotations
• Analyze freight market trends and update pricing strategies accordingly
• Handle air freight, sea freight, road transport, and customs related pricing
• Coordinate with operations and sales teams for shipment costing
• Ensure profitable and competitive pricing for customers
Coordination & Operations Support
• Work closely with the logistics operations team for smooth shipment execution
• Follow up with vendors regarding shipment schedules and documentation
• Resolve pricing disputes or shipment related issues professionally
• Maintain records of quotations, procurement contracts, and vendor databases
Market Research & Business Support
• Research logistics market trends, freight fluctuations, and competitor pricing
• Support the sales team with quick and attractive freight solutions
• Identify new vendors and business opportunities in the logistics sector
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, procurement, or pricing
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent English fluency is compulsory
• Knowledge of freight forwarding and import export processes preferred
• Good understanding of Incoterms, shipment documentation, and logistics pricing structures
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple quotations simultaneously
• Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and logistics software
• Professional attitude with strong attention to details
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of international shipping and customs procedures
• Experience in dealing with overseas agents and carriers
• Understanding of UAE, Middle East, or global trade routes is an advantage
• Arabic communication skills will be considered a plus
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
