Profile: Logistic Manager
Department: Supply Chain Management
Reporting: Functional & Administratively to AGM In-charge Finance Operations
Location: Vishakhapatnam (1) or Noida (2)
Budget: 15LPA (including 10% PLI)
Total experience: 8 to 12 years
Relevant logistics/ supply chain experience: 6 to 10 years
Current role: Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Early stage Manager
Team handling: 3 to 10 people
1. Goals (0–12 month)
- Establish a cost-efficient, reliable supply chain for inbound components and outbound dispatch
- Reduce logistics cost as % of revenue by 10 to 15% of previous FY [to match 26FY27 budget]
- Ensure 1st time & every time on-time delivery (OTD) across regions
- Build scalable processes to support multi state operations and future growth
2. Milestones
- 0 to 30 days:
- Audit current vendors, freight contracts, warehousing, and dispatch cycles
- Identify cost leakages
- 30 to 60 days: Renegotiate transporter contracts; implement route optimization and basic tracking systems
- 60 to 90 days: Standardize SOPs, define SLAs, and onboard backup vendors
- 90 to 180 days: Deploy tech-enabled tracking and improve inventory turns [to match 26FY27 budget]
- 6 to 12 months: Build a pan-India logistics network with predictable cost and service benchmarks
3. Measurement of success (KPIs)
- Logistics cost/ % of sales
- On-time dispatch & delivery rate (OTIF)
- Average turnaround time (TAT)
- Inventory holding days
- Damage/ loss %
- Vendor performance scorecards
4. What candidate should bring to the table
- Strong vendor network across transporters, warehouses, and 3PL players
- Proven cost optimization and contract negotiation capability
- Experience in electronics/ EMS/ supply chain complexity
- Data-driven mindset with ERP/ reporting familiarity
- Ability to build processes from scratch and scale operations
- High ownership, crisis management, and execution speed
