We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation and distribution. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient supply chain processes, timely deliveries, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics and distribution operations.
- Oversee transportation planning, fleet scheduling, and route optimization.
- Supervise driver movement, dispatch planning, and delivery coordination (if applicable).
- Monitor vehicle utilization, turnaround time, and fuel efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety norms and statutory regulations, especially for hazardous or liquid cargo.
- Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock movement.
- Optimize logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with transporters and logistics vendors.
- Track key performance indicators and prepare MIS reports.
- Resolve operational issues and customer complaints.
- Lead, train, and supervise logistics team members.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time delivery performance.
- Fleet utilization and turnaround time.
- Logistics cost per shipment.
- Inventory accuracy.
- Safety compliance and incident reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Experience in fleet management and transportation planning.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Preferred / Advantage
- Experience in US process.
- Experience handling transportation and route compliance.
- Knowledge of transport documentation and regulatory requirements.
