Provilac is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Dairy Logistics Manager to manage and optimise end-to-end milk and dairy product distribution operations for Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) delivery. The role involves route planning, fleet coordination, delivery management, cold-chain logistics, and ensuring timely doorstep delivery of fresh dairy products.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Delivery Management
- Manage daily dispatch and delivery operations for milk and dairy products.
- Ensure on-time delivery to customers through efficient route execution.
- Coordinate with delivery executives, transport vendors, and warehouse teams.
- Monitor delivery schedules, turnaround time, and delivery performance.
Route Planning & Route Optimisation
- Design and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and minimum delivery time.
- Plan routes based on customer density, delivery windows, and traffic conditions.
- Monitor route adherence and improve route productivity regularly.
- Reduce fuel costs and improve fleet utilization through route mapping strategies.
Cold Chain Management
- Oversee and track delivery tracking.
- Ensure proper cold-chain handling during transportation of dairy products.
- Monitor temperature-sensitive deliveries and prevent product spoilage.
Team Coordination
- Supervise delivery supervisors, drivers, and delivery executives.
- Conduct daily briefings regarding routes, delivery targets, and customer priorities.
- Train teams on SOPs, hygiene standards, and customer handling.
Operational Monitoring & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as on-time delivery %, delivery accuracy, route efficiency, fuel usage, and customer complaints.
- Generate daily MIS reports related to logistics and delivery operations.
- Coordinate with customer support teams for delivery escalations and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in dairy/FMCG/e-commerce logistics operations.
- Experience in D2C delivery operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and fleet management.
- Familiarity with ERP, GPS tracking systems, and delivery management software.
