Logistics Executive
Role Summary
Manage vessel-related logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination, timely movement of cargo, and compliance with port and shipping procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vessel schedules (arrival and departure)
- Liaise with port authorities, shipping lines, and agents
- Monitor loading and unloading of cargo
- Handle shipping documentation
- Ensure compliance with port and customs regulations
- Track vessel and cargo status and share updates
- Manage delays, port issues, and operational challenges
- Prepare reports on vessel operations and performance
- Liaising with terminal operators to optimize port-wise tank allocation and storage planning.
- Monitoring vessel schedules, ensuring timely pre-arrival planning, berthing, discharge, and documentation completion.
- Managing interactions with vessel agents to ensure accurate delivery instructions and smooth documentation flow.
- Overseeing port, customs, and FSSAI compliance processes to enable seamless import clearances.
- Tracking customs exchange rates, duty notifications, and regulatory updates to maintain compliance.
- Preparing and reviewing laytime statements while monitoring demurrage and dispatch performance.
- Leading the department independently, ensuring uninterrupted operations, resolving issues, and coordinating with suppliers,
- terminals, and agents.
- Driving cost optimization & operational efficiency through tariff adjustments, draft survey resolution, and cargo movement control.

Skills Required
- Knowledge of vessel operations and port logistics
- Understanding of shipping documentation and processes
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Problem-solving ability under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Excel/ERP systems
Qualification
- Graduate
- 5–7 years of experience in shipping or vessel operations
