Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Executive to join our team. As a Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods from one location to another while adhering to all regulations and guidelines. Your main duties will include:
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Inco-terms and be able to apply them in practical situations.
- You will be responsible for preparing and filing shipping bills and bills of entry in a timely and accurate manner.
- Draft checklist, AWB & B/L approval: You will need to create and maintain checklists to ensure that all necessary documents are in order. You will also be responsible for approving airway bills (AWBs) and bill of lading (B/L) to ensure that they meet all requirements.
- Shipment tracking: You will need to track shipments from start to finish, ensuring that they arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.
- Coordination with CHA and freight forwarder: You will need to work closely with customs house agents (CHAs) and freight forwarders to ensure that all shipments are cleared through customs and delivered on time. Find the right freight forwarder and negotiate with them.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role or worked with freight forwarding companies/agencies.
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
