Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics Executive – FTL Vehicle Sourcing to manage end-to-end transportation operations including vehicle sourcing, vendor coordination, vehicle placement, trip execution, application support, LR management, trip tracking and POD collection. The ideal candidate should possess strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, operational expertise and hands-on experience in logistics technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. FTL Vehicle Sourcing & Placement
- Source & arrange FTL vehicles based on load requirements across different regions from Vijayawada.
- Ensure timely vehicle placement to avoid operational delays.
- Manage fleet allocation efficiently to optimise cost and service levels.
- Handle sourcing for own vehicles, attached vehicles and market vehicles.
2. Vendor, Transporter and Driver Management
- Build and maintain a strong network of transport vendors, transporters and vehicle owners.
- Coordinate directly with lorry owners/drivers to reduce broker dependency and optimise transportation costs.
- Maintain strong communication with vendors during peak demand periods.
- Ensure vehicle commitments during urgent and high-demand situations.
3. S9 Platform & Application Handling
- Handle day-to-day operations of the S9 Transporter App, Driver App and Customer App.
- Support onboarding and operational usage of S9 applications.
- Install and configure Driver App on drivers mobile phones.
- Install and configure Transporter App for truck owners and transporters.
- Guide drivers in login procedures, trip acceptance and starting trips successfully.
- Assist transporters and truck owners in bid participation and app usage.
- Train users on app features and resolve usage issues.
4. Negotiation & Rate Management
- Negotiate freight rates with vendors, transporters, brokers and vehicle owners.
- Ensure competitive rates while maintaining service quality standards.
- Monitor market trends and seasonal transportation pricing.
5. Vehicle & Tonnage Knowledge
- Strong understanding of vehicle capacities and configurations:
- 7T, 10T, 14T, 16T, 18T, 19T, 20T, 22T, 24T, 25T, 28T, 30T, 32T
- 10-Tyre, 12-Tyre, 14-Tyre, 16-Tyre vehicles
- Trailers and Over-Dimensional/Overloaded vehicles
- Knowledge of FTL vehicle operations.
- Ensure proper vehicle selection based on load type, route and tonnage.
6. Route & Market Knowledge
- Possess detailed geographical knowledge including cities, towns, villages and interior routes across states.
- Stay updated on vehicle market availability, pricing and route demand.
- Match vendors and vehicles efficiently based on route expertise.
7. Trip Operations, GPS Tracking & Monitoring
- Create and maintain Trip IDs and transportation records.
- Monitor daily GPS tracking and real-time vehicle movement.
- Ensure active tracking throughout transit and resolve tracking issues.
- Coordinate with drivers for trip progress and status updates.
- Escalate delays and operational issues proactively.
8. Loading & Unloading Coordination
- Coordinate with loading point personnel for smooth dispatch operations.
- Coordinate with unloading teams and customers for timely unloading.
- Ensure continuous communication among customers, drivers and operations teams.
9. LR Documentation & POD Collection
- Prepare and verify LR (Lorry Receipt) documents accurately.
- Follow up for timely POD collection from drivers and customers.
- Ensure POD submission and proper documentation closure.
- Maintain transportation records and trip documentation.
10. MIS Reports & Operational Reporting
- Generate and maintain daily MIS reports.
- Track vehicle utilisation, trip status, GPS reports and operational performance.
- Share daily operational updates with management teams.
- Analyse reports to improve fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, vehicle sourcing or supply chain operations is preferred.
- Freshers with good communication skills, a willingness to learn and an interest in logistics can also apply. Suitable candidates will be provided training and onboarding support based on role fit and performance potential.
- Proficiency in Telugu and Hindi is mandatory. Knowledge of additional regional languages will be considered an added advantage for this role.
