Job SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring logistics activities related to aviation operations, including movement of aircraft parts, tools, equipment, and documentation. The role ensures timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination between vendors, suppliers, internal teams, and airport authorities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of aircraft parts, components, and operational equipment.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, customs requirements, and dangerous goods handling standards.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation including airway bills, invoices, packing lists.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and airport cargo teams.
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to stakeholders and ERPs when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams.
- Support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations with urgent logistics coordination.
- Track logistics costs and support budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure proper storage, packaging, and handling of aviation materials and spare parts.
- Maintain logistics records and prepare operational reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of aviation logistics processes, aircraft parts handling, and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with IATA / ICAO regulations and dangerous goods handling procedures.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics or ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualification
- Certification in Logistics / Supply Chain / Aviation Operations.
