Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage international logistics operations for electronic passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, connectors, etc.). The role focuses on Air and Sea freight coordination, supplier-to-customer shipments across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, close management of freight forwarders, customs clearance, rate negotiation, and strict adherence to Incoterms and trade compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import and export shipments (Air & Sea) for electronic passive components across Asia–Europe, Middle East, and Americas trade lanes.
- Coordinate with Asian manufacturers/suppliers and global customers to ensure on-time shipment execution.
- Liaise with international freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and customs brokers across multiple regions.
- Handle customs clearance, HS code classification, duties, and tariff compliance, particularly for electronic components.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping and trade documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL, AWB, COO, Insurance, MSDS (where applicable).
- Ensure correct application of Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, DAP, DDP) based on sales and purchase contracts.
- Negotiate freight rates and transit terms with freight forwarders to optimize cost and delivery timelines.
- Monitor shipments in transit, manage exceptions (delays, rollovers, inspections), and communicate proactively with internal teams and customers.
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams to align logistics execution with customer delivery commitments.
- Maintain shipment tracking, freight cost sheets, and regional logistics performance reports.
- Support cost optimization initiatives while protecting trading margins.
Regional & Product-Specific Exposure
- Experience handling high-volume, time-sensitive Air freight for electronic components.
- Understanding of sensitive and high-value cargo handling requirements.
- Familiarity with Asia & Europe-origin exports (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong , Germany & France ).
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for electronics, including COO, valuation, and country-of-origin rules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in international logistics within electronics, components trading, or freight forwarding.
- Strong hands-on experience with Air & Sea freight operations.
- Practical knowledge of global freight forwarder management and vendor coordination.
- Understanding of customs tariffs, HS codes (electronic components), duties, and clearance procedures.
- Proven experience in freight rate negotiation across multiple trade lanes.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms and international trade documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent shipments across different regions and time zones.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/logistics systems.
