Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Logistics Assistant role based in Chennai. The Logistics Assistant will support day-to-day logistics operations, including coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with inventory tracking. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely deliveries, proper documentation, and compliance with company procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, organizing storage areas, preparing purchase orders or replenishment requests, and updating logistics databases or systems. The Logistics Assistant will also support customer service activities related to orders and deliveries, resolve basic shipment issues, and contribute to process improvements in logistics and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Strong logistics management skills, including basic knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and shipment coordination.
- Experience or familiarity with inventory management and purchasing processes to support stock control and order processing.
- Effective customer service skills to handle inquiries, coordinate deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Solid organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office tools and logistics or inventory software systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; local language proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to fast-paced operational environments.
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is preferred; a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an added advantage.
