We’re Hiring! – Logistics Operations Executive
Fretlog is looking for a Logistics Operations Executive to join our Operations team in Mumbai, with a focus on import operations.
If you have experience in logistics operations and are passionate about ensuring smooth, timely, and compliant import processes while maintaining strong coordination with customers, vendors, overseas agents, and internal teams, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end Sea & Air Import operations, including pre- and post-shipment documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and timelines.
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, CHAs, and transporters throughout the shipment lifecycle, from pickup to final delivery.
- Update Fretrack with accurate shipment details, including ETD, ETA, and current shipment status.
- Maintain the Daily Shipment Report (DSR) in Excel format and share regular updates with customers.
- Ensure accurate job updates and timely processing of import documentation and shipment details.
- Raise customer invoices on time, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment timelines.
- Share fund planning details with the accounts team and ensure timely booking of debit notes and vendor invoices.
- Maintain effective communication with customers by providing timely shipment updates and addressing any concerns or operational issues.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues during the import process.
- Coordinate with internal sales teams to provide shipment updates and support smooth import operations.
- Continuously improve operational processes by streamlining procedures and SOPs to enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience in logistics operations, import operations, freight forwarding, or supply chain management
- Hands-on experience in logistics operations, with a strong understanding of import processes, freight forwarding, or supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, with the ability to manage reports and shipment data accurately
- An ability to manage time and workload efficiently
- Strong attention to detail in documentation, shipment details, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and address operational challenges
