Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable dishwasher to staff various shifts.   The ideal candidate is committed to showing up on time for work, has a helpful attitude, gets along with other kitchen employees, and follows all sanitary and health-related protocols.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Ability to operate an industrial dishwasher safely and rapidly.
• Load and unload the dishwashing machine.
• Wash glassware and various kitchen items by hand when necessary.
• Strength and stamina required to lift loads and empty/clean all trash receptacles.
• Ability to meticulously clean iced tea and coffee machines daily.
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. dish detergents, soap, mops, brooms, etc.) 
• Remove garbage regularly and take to dumpster, plus clean garbage cans.
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
• Commitment to all-around cleanliness, including dishwashing and dish storage areas.
• Notify Chef any time dish machine washer or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Must always follow sanitation and safety policies.
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other staff as needed, especially during peak hours.
• Basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately.
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to management.
• Commitment for the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
• Other Duties as assigned by management

 Job Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to speak fluent English.
• No experience is required but it is welcomed (training will be provided, as needed).
• Commitment to working hard and being reliable.
• A team player.  
• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings, plus holidays.

 Physical requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. 

• Stands during entire shift.  
• Reaches, bends and stoops frequently. 
• Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 25 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and humid environment.
