About the role

Description:

Lockton is seeking an experienced, client-focused Account Executive to join its Healthcare Practice. In this role, you will support marketing, service delivery, and consulting efforts for current and prospective clients, primarily within the healthcare industry. Ideal candidates bring strong relationship-building skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine interest in supporting clients as a trusted partner—not just an insurance broker.

You will be responsible for managing the strategy, servicing, and marketing needs of Lockton clients within the healthcare industry under the guidance of a Unit Manager and in accordance with Lockton procedures. Additional experience in life sciences or behavioral health is highly desirable but not required. Experience with additional lines of coverage is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Support strategic planning and provide consulting advice to clients, including preparing Requests for Proposal, coordinating vendor responses, and developing comparative analyses and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, establishing trust in Lockton as a long-term business partner.
- Consult with clients to review vendor services, fees, strategies, and performance against goals.
- Assist in meeting revenue goals for existing and new business within assigned accounts.
- Maintain effective working relationships with carriers, broker servicing networks, and other market partners.
- Coordinate issue resolution between clients and the market.
- Support market selection for new and renewal business on designated accounts.
- Assist in generating new business opportunities, including cross-selling when appropriate.
- Participate in negotiating program terms and costs.
- Collaborate with service teams to coordinate day-to-day account administration, including claims and loss control support.
- Conduct coverage reviews for clients and prospects.
- Partner with producers and clients to determine renewal strategies, timelines, and marketing approaches.
- Participate in pre-renewal meetings, as needed.
- Prepare and submit submissions to carriers; review and assess carrier quotes.
- Coordinate with claims teams on key matters impacting the client.
- Provide guidance and support to junior associates when appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging risks within healthcare.
- Assist in preparing and delivering proposals and presentations.
- Facilitate premium financing options when requested by clients.
- Manage binding confirmations and handoff to the account support team.
- Review certificate requests as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

The entry base salary offered for this opportunity may vary, and is contingent upon candidate education, skills, abilities, essential competencies, experience, professional designations, unique qualifications, and geographic location.

Performance Bonus: This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, based upon the financial performance of the organization and the individual contributions of the Associate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or 5–10 years of equivalent experience.
- Typically 5–10 years of client service experience in the insurance or brokerage industry.
- Prior experience working with healthcare clients required; experience in life sciences or behavioral health strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid working knowledge of insurance brokerage practices and industry trends.
- Ability to meet continuing education requirements, as applicable.
- Ability to attend required internal and external meetings, including travel when necessary.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods and utilize standard office equipment.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
